Canungra Army Base is protected by the 'Tenix Fire & Resue Service' a private fire protection company.

Located in the Gold Coast hinterland or Beaudesert Shire Hinterland (depends who you ask) this very large area is protected by Tenix.

Tenix operates 1 striker type unit with 500ltrs water , 1 Medium Pump with 1000ltrs water and VW powered GAAM pump and an International Acco with 3000ltrs water.

All vehicles are either ex CFA or are based on designs used in that area.

Tenix Fire & Rescue also operate another Acco at the Greenbank base, and have around 5 appliances at this time.

The station is staffed by two full time officers on weekly rotations and fire fighters are called in similar to QFRS auxiliary systems, with all staff being on call on weekends.

The Tenix Fire & Rescue are accredited and fitted with BA, the smaller striker unit is often called upon to back up Auxillary vehicles from Canungra with MVA's and alike when crew numbers are low, some members from Tenix are also QFRA members.

Both older vehicles are due for replacement with the Isuzu being a popular rumour.

Canungra QFRS station 22 operates an Isuzu Urban pumper rescue, with the rurals operating a smaller Isuzu pump with 2 Nissan Patrol strikers and a Toyota Land Cruiser striker.
